Might have to go with angels then and maybe a few fish which are deemed to be fine with angels aslong as they arent too big or active for the tank

Angels are too big and too active for a 45L tank. Ideally, they need around 150L

i had 3 in my old 60L which was the common shape not a tall hex tank, and they were fine, would they not be ok in a taller tank?

way to small for angels

due to the shape you will be limited a lot.

how about a small shoaling fish say 6-8 then something like a dwarf gourami as centerpeice
