Bought the frogs a new tank this morning, Arcadia Arc, hope they like it, cant find them so they must be exploring. Hoping to add some amano shrimp in a week or so, providing somebody tells me frogs and shrimps together are ok :)

Cool tank Minx, i'm sure the froggies wil love it!
A few cherrys and an armoured filter shrimp would look good IMO

i have the same tank unused sitting in my shed doing nothing i lost the glass top for it and the litght is broke but the tank is good seeing yours all nicely done up waants me to get my lazy behind into gear and get sumthing done to it

Thanks guys, dig it out, cut a piece of perspex or similar for the lid and a new light is cheap enough forby, go on you know you want to.

oh i love those tanks minx, they have a 35L in pets at home for £53, i was sooo tempted, but as you know all my spare money is going to a good cause very soon.
you have it looking great, i didnt realise you kept frogs as well as fish,
did the heater come with it and whats the fiter like? ( nosey bugger eh  )

Went to p@h but couldnt find any, so I got this for a penny under £50 at a local place instead :)

The heater is an old elite 50w (not actually on in this weather) I already had in their other tank, the filter seems ok, took out the sponge and carbon it came with and stuffed it full of mature media, bit noisy for my liking, they dont really need it, but as Im hoping to put some shrimp in it, thought I oughta just to be on the safe side.

you will be glad to no that the dirty tank is now clean but what do i use it for hmmmmmmmm????

Shrimp, Froggies, betta, endlers, rasboras, dwarf puffers.......

Edit: Obviously not all of them together

Mine is completly silent, cont hear a thing, the only thing i can hear in my bedroom is the other tanks bubbles popping at the surface and thats further away form the bed.

Thanks Andrew, well after reading your comment, I took apart the filter, discovered the impellor wasnt turning freely, so poked around a bit with it, turned it on without the body of the filter attached and it was fine, put it back together again and voila, only a faint hum now :D

Yeah sold one, sold some other stuff and then promptly spent the cash  I know - shoot me :D

I wouldn't get the amanos, they'd likel;y get to the food before the frogs and run off with it. Cherries would be better, as well as most other shrimp. The frogs would even have a food source in the form of baby shrimp!
