New 20gallon Bought Yesterday!

We've decided here's what I'm going to get!

2 honey gourami
6-8 neon or cardinal tetras
5 kuhlis
4 cories (don't know what ones, hopefully albino)
And maby a bristlenose depending on how things turn out!

Beautiful tank shimanocono ...I think the occupants will enjoy it ...about the only recomendation I could make is....remove kittys toy from the door beside it ..if your cat is anything like ours she will be using the fishtank as a perch or springboard for her attacks on the toy

hahahaha, thats piglet, I got it from macdonals a while back and just put it on my door. I have no cats. I was wondering if I should have moved it for the picture. To lazy to put it away I guess, but I have no cat.

Oh yeah I'm thinking of not putting in the honey gouramis.

Might be a good idea to wait on the Gourammis, beautiful fish but I find that they are not the hardiest. Try some guppies or feeder goldfish to cycle the tank, they are inexpensive tough little guys

I think I'm just going to let the palnts cycle the tank! I heard it can be done! I might put some water from my established tank in the 20gallon though!

Just an update saying the plants spread out alot and got alot more height to them!

plants can not cycle a tank on there own. you will need to add ammonia some how, either by adding 100% pure ammonia to the tabk or adding fish food and letting it decompose.

Thanks for the comments everyone! I got no criticsm! Oh yeah bugger of dj! No, I'm just joking I'm happy you gave me your oppiinon I think I will probably leave the heater there, don't botther me to much.

Oh yeah, I will be able to tell you what htis tank will be stocked with once me and Graeme decide what would be good. Thanks for all your help Graeme (we're talking about it in private messages for those who are confused)

Thanks for the nomination I had plants, shrimp pellet and some stuff to put in your tank that will help cycle it and some water from an established tank!

gr8 choises what sort of substrate do you have it looks like gravel i had sand for my cooli loaches but im not shure if it matters.coridoras are good for the tank too i would go for cardinal and i think 6 would be a better number than 8. gourami are an excellent choise placid all the ones ive seen i have heard that they can take charge but i have never herd of any that are bullys. im no expert on bristle nose so i wont comment on those

Well I bought fish for the tank since I filled the tank up with established water! The fish are doing great! I got 3 kuhli loaches, 2 red tailed zebra laoches and 6 neon tetras!!
