Hi i already have a 17l tank tropical setup an running have just got another 1
I have some questions
In my 17l tank i use the marina i25
this new 1 an elite stingray in my opinon isnt so good at filtering
Also what fish i no its small please dnt moan

A single Betta, a single Dwarf Puffer, Scarlet Badis, a small school of a species from the Boraras genus, Green Neon Tetra's, Ember Tetra's, Celestial Pearl Danio's, they'd all be fine in my opinion, as would Shrimp.

I would disagree with you there, its to small for schooling fish.
the betta and badis would be fine in a 17L. im not sure about the dwarf puffer tho :/

Hope this helps :good:

The schooling species mentioned max out at 2cm and would be more than fine (Especially Boraras micros, Boraras merah, Boraras urophthalmoides and Boraras brigittae, they will get no larger than 18mm and aren't that active, as for the Dwarf Puffer, the recommended guide is 3 Gallons per puffer. All bar Dario dario will require heating.

The Boraras would be the only one i would consider putting in a 17L (depending on dimensions). Boraras aren't commonly available so may be a problem in locating them.

I have a 20 liter and have guppies 5, 2 endlers some shrimp and a few neon tetras. All living well and happy!

Can we have a pic ,of your 20l with guppies in and how long have they been in there?

I'll try post something up tonight. They are all still very small and do not really intend to keep them depending how big mine get. Maybe keep 1-2. I ve had them in for 2 weeks now and they are all happy without any bullying happening.
