New: 15 Litre Planted Nano

Haven't updated in a while. I'm thinking of doing a iwagumi layout. Basically replace the current gravel with some Colombo, use my left over aquarium rocks and plant some dwarf hair grass. I might even hook one of my CO2 setups to it as the LED's seem to do a pretty good job. Ohh its exiting, a new project finally :D
Just got to wait till next week to order the plants and substrate.

So I began re-scaping today and I'm quite happy with the layout. I've used a cat litter substrate, never used it before and so far I like it, lets see if the plants do. I'm not 100% satisfied with the shapes of the rocks but thats all I had to work with. I've replanted some left over HC Cuba and added CO2 system. I'm planning on getting some dwarf hair grass in there and attempt to carpet. My betta seems quite happy swimming through the gaps in the rocks. Anyway here's some photos:

Dwarf Hairgrass dispatched today so hopefully arrive tomorrow, can't wait. The HC Cuba looks to be doing ok and the CO2 setup is working nicely.

Yay! My plants came today, trimmed them down and planted. What do you think?
3x pots of Eleocharis acicularis
1x pot of Sagittaria sabulata

2 days in and I'm already noticing some growth from the hairgrass, a few strands have grown by about 5mm-1cm. Nothing has gone brown as of yet *crosses fingers* and I've been getting the CO2 checker to a nice healthy green everyday. The betta is loving swimming through the rocks and hairgrass and has appeared to settle nicely.

Hello everyone, time for an update. Pretty much all the plants died so the tank looked horrible, I'm guessing the LED lights aren't up to the job of supporting live plants so I've stripped it and replaced them with some plastic ones. Now I'm normally a strong believer in using natural live plants where-ever possible but in this tanks its just not possible, but to be honest I quite like these ones that I found today. The smaller grass looks a little artificial but hopefully after a couple of weeks in there a spot of controlled algae should add to the natural effect. Plus this means I make a small saving on liquid carbon usage and ferts. Anyway enough rambling on, here's what it look like...
