I was thinking a small female betta, or maybe an african dwarf frog? Would two african dwarf frogs be okay in a 1 gallon tank? :dunno: It is one of those aquaview plus 1 gallon kits that they sell at walmart for like $10.00. Its probably 6 inches wide and 7 or 8 inches tall so they'd have some swimming room.

Anyone own african dwarf frogs?

Yea, but I already have 4 male bettas. I was thinking of trying something a little different. :dunno: although I am very scared of frogs..maybe getting 2 will make me overcome my fear.

I've never seen a freshwater crab at any of my LFS before. Anything else small enough to be happy in a 1 gallon? :dunno:

For the same 10 bucks you can get a 10 gallon. Why would you get a tank so small?
yea, but only the glass aquarium. The 1 gallon was like $11 and it comes with a light and an underground filter. I was planning on putting a betta in it, but I though I'd go with something different. Maybe lots of live plants and like 2 or 3 shrimp.

im scared of frogs too, but adfs dont seem that scary. as long as it cant come out of water, i dont care  maybe some black gravel and frogs and ghost shrimps

I have some colorful rainbow gravel in there now, but I may change it to black. I think that would look nice. I would do sand but it has the UGF filter. Anyways I'll probably get some black sand or some river stones and some live plants and put a few shrimp in there.

ADFs aren't scary! They're actually incredibly cute. I have three of them. :)

I think two could live quite easily in that tank, and they seem to do better in groups, so, if you get one, you might want to get another one. Just make sure that if you have them with gravel, it's not small enough to get consumed, and is quite smooth. They like to jet across the bottom of the tank. Also, it's better to feed them live or frozen foods. I bought Frog & Tadpole Bites for mine...so, yes, of course, they won't eat it.

I always have plenty of frozen bloodworms and mysis shrimp at the house, as I have like 16 bettas and they get moody if they don't get their frozen bloodworms. :p And I also have a dwarf puffer and he only eats frozen foods. So I will go to the LFS today and pick between two ADFs or 3 or 4 ghost shrimp.

Only $10 for a 10 gallon? Holly Moley. I can't even get a good sized Kritter Keeper for that price...
