Never really heard of this, but do female peacock gudgeons (Tateurndina Ocellicauda) get aggressive?

Sometimes one of my females will flare at my other females and SOMETIMES chase but that is rare... Mostly she'll just flare and follow a bit... I find it weird... What do you think this behavior could be? Trying to find the new hierarchy now that they are all new to eachother?

territorial threats. females don't want competition any more than males do

I'm keeping them for years and if they do it (no matter the sex of the fish), it's more trying to impress the other one. But if they're kept in a smaller environment, they can become a bit territorial from what I've noticed.
