Whoa. Those things look scary but playfully delicate in a way. Are they any relation to a dolphin, the head looks similar.

But damn, maybe he shouldnt tease the eel by waving the sausage around in front of it and making it follow his hand just so his buddies could get some fancy shots of the eel moving.

the guy is a fool and that's so dangerous to other divers and that moray in more ways than one.

If I remember properly, at least some morays have rows of extremely sharp backwards pointing teeth and poor eyesight, so if they mistake a hand for food and latch on, it's very difficult (not to mention painful) to get the hand back out. Definitely not at the top of my list of things I'd want to be bitten by. I grew up around commercial divers (my dad used to be one) and they wouldn't think of sticking their hands blindly into holes because of fish like the morays. It's pretty high on the list of stupid things to do, somewhere near diving near sea lions as that's the best method of confusing a shark into thinking you're its favorite food.

Absolutely fascinating fish though, I'd be thrilled to spot one while out diving even at a distance, they're pretty difficult to spot as they hide most of the time.

No relation at all, dolphins are mammals and more closely related to us. They're actually quite shy and it's rare to see them out like that, hopefully this one hasn't become accustomed to swimming out of his cave to eat sausages from tourists.

It's better him than the next diver that goes down there when the moray expects a meal and bites them or they kill the moray thinking he's an overly aggressive one and is attacking them.
