Neons Or Cardinals

I've heard good and bad things about both and I am SO confused.

ive had no problems keeping either over the years, neons are cheaper but for me cards look a whole load better in a shoal I had 60 in a shoal last year and they looked quality

Neither; green/false neons Paracheirodon simulans for me; I don't like a lot of red in my tanks; it's the blue that attracts me

Cardinals. I have 6 of each and my cardinals are more eye-catching

I say cardinals, especially as they do not suffer neon tetra disease!!

I love the look of my cardinals but they are kind of boring IMO!
