I'm gonna restock my aquarium. I'm gonna go with some neons, honey gourami red swordtails, an apple snail. guppies, ottocinclua, corys and maybe some rasboras.. Will these all get along OK. How many of each can I get?

I have a 29 gallon, I am gonna buy some plants. I have a canister filter and a HOB filter This stocking sounds (to me) a bit much doesn't it?

You will obviously need to stock gradually, but I dont see any obvious qualms you may have. As far as stocking list, maybe try;

1xHoney Gourami
8xNeons
2 Swordtails
2xMale Guppies, or female, best not to mix though.
3xOttos
4xCory of some sort
6xRasbora
3xApple snails

Could maybe add a few shrimp also as a little clean up crew too. With good filtration and good water changes that would be a nice little set up. May want to make it planted too, even if its just some java ferns and mosses with a bit of bog wood. All those fish would appreciate that. Hope that helps :good:

Could the apple snails breed?

Could I go for red cherry shrimp? None of these will eat them will they?

Red Cherries would be fine. The swords and cories will most likely keep the population at a managable level by eating some babies. Adults will be fine though probably. If theres plenty of plants they should be.

Apples will breed if you get different sexes. If there turns out to be too many they should be easy enough to shift though.

if you want cherry shrimp lots of forum members sell them for really good prices and they post
scot :)

My gourami ate all my cherry shrimp! be careful!

Was it a Honey Gourami? I would be very sceptical at a honey eating adult shrimps.

P.S. I have tons of cherries if you are within reach of picking them up from Liverpool you can have some for free. Havent worked ouyt how to post yet sorry.
