Neons Are They Soft

Hi there,

I was told today that neons are hard to keep long term and was wondering if the term "soft" is a deserved reputation.

ive never had a problem keeping them but most people will say they need a mature tank..

i haven't had a proble with them either, i have more trouble keeping cardinals alive in my area, they are tiny when there in the LFS where as neons are usually fully grown or near enough

I have Neons and Cardinals...no problems with either. However, my tank was cycled and stable when I added them...

Thanks all, I have no luck with neon's or rummy nosed so went for lemon tetras no dramas yet. But for my next tank want neon's or cardinal. Seems maturity in the tank may be the key.
