Neon tetras

Well in Ireland I can get them from a retailer for €0.95 which translates to $1.15!!
You can bring me some beer on your way over.

Ken

I must be lucky. The 1 store near me sells the 4 for $2.30. These are pretty small. Larger one's go 4 for $5.00.
I drove an hour away this weekend and stopped at a store in MD that I have not been to for a while. They had a great price on Cardinals. They were selling for .89 each.
Sorry, this does not help you out.

"You can bring me some beer on your way over."

You are from Ireland and you want Canadian beer????

Neons on sale every wed at the local store.. $0.50 each.

A quid each when I got mine. About average around my way.

There's some pretty good Canadian beer I hear from my sister who dropped in last year. Ireland has excellent Guiness, much better than you can get outside the emerald isle. Not sure about the rest of Ireland beer :p

I'd rather drink my beer cold. Kept asking for ice in the pubs in Ireland. The bartenders thought I was mad.

About the neons - my LFS puts them on sale when they are going to get a new shimpment. Usually they sell them in groups of six then. Ask at your LFS if they have sales.

I guess the grass is always greener, or in this case the beer is always tastier... I enjoy a pint of guiness every now and again, but I can't imagine how much better it is when it isn't shipped across the pond. We do have a fine selection of Canadian Beers. I personally recomend Alexander Keith's India Pale Ale. It's a fine beer. (great really cold too)

As far as neons go it makes me wonder how cheap it is to breed the little guys if they are so cheap.

I'm not surprised, Ice in beer...agreed it should be cold but that would just water it down...sacrilidge....

*Lithril slaps Moe around a bit with a large trout :p

On the Guiness thing

but I can't imagine how much better it is when it isn't shipped across the pond

I was once told by a rep (I work in a pub) that the Guiness sold in Ireland is not the same as the exported stuff. I think they water it down or something

Can we change the name of this thread to the great global beer debate???

Litheral - ouch! :S
