ok i have some very "prolific" breeding endlers and i like that... but im also considering tossing some neon tetras in there too, assuming there well fed, do you think the neon tetras will eat the endler fry?

anyone got a neon tetra 101 link? :) :)

and neon tetras would breed correct? i mean id get like 10 then let them have fun

all fish would eat fry even the mom's that given birth will.

The Neon Tetra should be kept in groups of 8 and is compatible with Black Phantom Tetra, Cardinal Tetra, Corydoras Catfish, Discus, Dwarf Neon Rainbow, Endlers Livebearer, Gardneri Killifish, Glass Catfish, Glass Fish, Glowlight Tetra, Guppy, Harlequin Rasbora, Honey Gourami, Kuhli Loach, Pleco (Common), Pristella Tetra, Ram Cichlid, Red Phantom Tetra, Silver Hatchetfish, White Cloud,

Although it says they are compatible, be cautios. Because i have placed Platy with Red Eye Tetras, and they are suppose to be compatible.. and guess what, bad idea the platy got chased and nipped all day long. cheers.

the neons will definately go for any fry, as for compatability i have found them to nip guppies in the past

see i need the amount of fry the currently survive to stay the same, or drop less then 5%

i don't think they will make much difference, fry are smart and fast and as long as you have hiding places i think you'll be ok

Plenty of plants gives the fry good hiding places-i find tetras and gouramis and mollies will get the fry if they stray out into the open-lots of plants is my advice... Your fry can get bigger without straying feeding off the algae etc caught on the plants.

TheeMon is absolutely right about endler fry. I have found that unless they see a large fish as a threat, they will swim right past it as if nothing was wrong. It works OK in an endlers only tank but might be a quick way to lose endlers in a community situation. Newborn endlers do hide for a few days in my hornwort but after that they are totally fearless when it comes to other fish.
