Neon Tetras Fighting With Eachother Is This Normal?

Hey everyone, I have 7 neon tetra, 7 rummy nose tetra and 3 network cory. Everyone seems to be getting on fine the cory's shoal together and play in the filter water, rummy's shoal well but the Neon's are fighting each other constantly.  There's a couple in there that just spend the day tormenting the others darting towards them and having a go, some retaliate others don't. There's one that hides in the plants all the time. Is this normal behaviour?

yes it is. You just sometimes have to up their numbers but sometimes you have no choice but to rehome them
oh and what size is the tank?

Hey, I have a 90 litre/23 gallon tank so I don't know if I can up the numbers I think I'm already at my stocking limit. Half the time there ok and are peaceful half the time they're at each other, none of them look hurt of have ripped fins on the plus side.

it may be that the males are trying to attract a mate and are pushing other males away

Yeah your probably right, I've only had my tank running a few months they might just being trying to establish who the alpha male is

My neons fight usually when summer because that is the time they breed in the wild so I've heard

It makes sense just wanted to make sure its typical Neon behaviour and not something I'm doing
