How big are they? Newborn fry are small enough for most fish to have a go at chasing and eating, but from a few weeks old they should be ok with neons.
If you think they're small enough to fit in a neon's mouth, there is always the risk they'll be caught. But with plenty of cover and decent feeds so they grow quickly, it shouldn't be too bad.
