Sorry for all the pictures but wasn't too lucky on getting good pics for these guys. I have six Neon Tetras and three are slimmer than the others; I picked up the three rounder ones first and hoping they were females because of their shape. I've noticed over the past couple of days they were plumper than normal.

I believe I first gave them some black worms on Monday and nothing for the next two days. I gave them some more black worms again yesterday and that's when I noticed larger bellies and not as round. The rounder Tetras were the ones that were gulping most of the worms up. The poor SAE was trying to catch a worm but it's mouth isn't equipped like the rest. One of my Corydora managed to wrestle a worm on a piece of driftwood and gulp it down.

Are they packed with worms and waiting to go? Are they carrying eggs? I've never seen any of my fish poo except for yesterday when I saw one of the "females" with what looked like some poo hanging out. Later on that night it wasn't there. So one poo sighting in 4 weeks.

Anyone have any ideas? Should I be concerned?

They could be carrying but I cant tell you for certain plus I have never kept neons they could be that there constipated. Try feeding them some pea's.

Any sort of frozen green pea just put some in a bowl with a little water, micro wave for about 10 to 15 seconds.

Then remove from water pop the internal bit of the pea out of its shell (the fish cant eat the shell very well and the good bit is inside) then mush the peas up then feed them to your fish. I do not understand how it works but it does it helps there digestive system.

There are lots of different ways of preparing peas this is just the way I learnt to do it and I feed my fish peas once a week :good:.
