neon has lost an eye

Hi - just got home from work & 1 of my neons has lost an eye, im really worried will he live??? he doesnt seem to be in pain i dont think. Its just sort of looks like it has fell out....... help wot do i do......???

from what i know fish can get by fine with only 1 eye however does it look infected or anything like that? what else is in the tank>

Yes i agree they can survive on one eye, what are your water stats in ammonia,nitrite,nitrate,and ph, what size tank in gals, plus fish and which type and how many.

All stats on tank are fine it only had a water change last nite aswell. fish in tank are below: i think it 70 litre tank dont no in gallons.

6 platties
4 neons
2 mollies
2 plec (1 is only staying for a few days though before he goes into another tank)
1 ghost

I also have 5 baby platties in a seperate floating tank inside main tank.

he should be fine but there could be an infection in the wound, many fish are born with only the one eye and are fine

tank possibly a bit full though.

if the ghost is a ghost knife fish then he is the 1 who ate the eye of the neon guaranteed
