Nemo and Dory?

Hmmmmm, that's not how my take on the movie is! I think that Dory becomes Marlins, well, other half!!! The part where she says, "....and your father; :sly: YOUR FATHER !!!!! :grr: " that is what leads me to believe that it is suppose to be viewed as a sort of "marital spat"! See......? :/

That's just my opinion anyhow!! I like thinking that little Nemo got a stepmother out of the deal!

Doggfather, this will probably be an unpopular thing to say, but hey. I thought that Finding Nemo was distinctly average. It was exactly the same as all the other cr*p feel-good animated-characters-who-shouldn't-be-able-to-talk-but-can films like Toy Story, Ice Age, etc, etc, etc. Perhaps if I'd just seen the film without all the hype I'd have been more impressed, but as it was I was expecting something outstanding, and it didn't deliver.

Also, there's nothing that winds me up more than being in my LFS and some brat kid comes running in shouting "Mummy, Mummy look it's Nemo". Usually followed by incessant tapping on the glass to get his attention.

Perhaps I'm just a miserable scrooge.

Dave

PS silver, I agree with you, I also took it to be that Dory became Nemo's step mother.

Hazmat - I was just guessing, I am not a marine guy, you see.....although I just got interested!! (Just setuped my very first marine tank few days ago! ;) )
Just pointing you in the right direction on marine fish ;)

That's cool that you started a marine tank.... Have you posted anything on it here yet?
How big is it? are you doing a reef or fish only?

Hazmat
Well Hazmat,
I am not pointing any fingers at anyone but I have seen people been put down because they either don't have a big enough tank expected by this forum to be a minimum size for a marine tank or they can't keep the species they like because some people say on this forum that you need a big tank....
Not pointing ANY fingers again, I have read one post on this forum, someone stated that you need a 50 gallon tank just to keep few clown fishes??? It may or may not be true, but what concerns me is that I do not wish to be put down like others..... all I am saying is that I am not at liberty to share with y'all about my new marine tank in fear of being put down by the "experts"....

I didn't mean to sound like I was "pointing fingers" in a bad way. I was just trying to give you the correct information on that fish, That's all.
I understand what you say about being put down, I have seen it also. I try not to post when I see that but sometimes you need to inform the person
of the correct information.

Hazmat :)

finding nemo is soooooooo good. And pretty scientifically correct. Anyone else notice how marlin keeps holding his breath every time he goes to the surface after nemo is first taken. And how about the angelfish in the aquarium with the preoccupation with her own reflection. Mine does that all teh time.

I love Finding Nemo, I watch it with my kids almost everyday, and they are much more interested in fish now. My Discus are named Nemo and Marlin, compliments of my son.
I also gathered that Dory would be his other half.
The best lines in the whole movie are , "Yes, I'm a natural Blue" and "The sea monkey stole my money"
I love that movie
:*)
