Just got my new 80gal tank up and running, put all my stock from my 75gal in and it looks kinda empty.

This is my stocking now
1 sailfin pleco
8 torpedo barbs
6 harlequin rasboras
1 smiling acara
2 kribensis
5 kuhli loach

Im going to get another smiling acara as soon as any lfs have them in stock.

The tank is 60"x20"x20" with a fx5 filter packed with ceramic media so it can handle a good bioload.

Its also going to be heavily planted.

My kh is 0 degrees out the tap and gh is about 5 degrees so its very soft water.

So any recommendations?

you could put a pair of angels and maybe a large school of tetras but only put the tetras in with the angels if the tank is going to be heavily planted

Not to keen on angels tbh and I think my rasboras would nip them. Also what sort of tetras?

Larger tetras are always nice, can stand up on their own to the other fish and there is safety in numbers. I would say that you already have enough schooling type fish and would probably up the number of kuhli loaches as they are often more confident and interesting to watch in larger numbers. You also have two cold water fish species and both African and New World cichlids which I usually say is a big no-no. If anything I would use the 80 gallon for warm-water tropicals and the 75 gallon for a cold water or vice-versa, whichever you prefer. I would move the kribensis and the barbs to a cold water tank as they both prefer 70-77 degree water. You could have a lot of fun stocking two tanks.

Ive sold the 75gal now and only got the 80 lol, If I could run them both I would have a pair of Oscars in the 75. The cichlids actually get on fine, ive never seen any sort of fighting between them.
Im also thinking of upping the rasboras to about 30-40

Uping the rasboras to 30-40 like you say, should make a nice spectacle. Who doesn't love a nice big shoal?

I think that's what im gonna aim for, was looking at them just now and thought theres nothing really there. Shoal of 6 isn't much to look at lol.
I cant wait to see your shoal of 100 tiger barbs
