So I bought these two a couple of weeks ago and they were dancing a lot, I’ll post a vid, (if can) and now my blue one has a big belly not sure if it’s pregnant or bloated can someone help ! I went in to the fish shop that I got them from and they say she’s pregnant, so I’ve seperated them to a different tank, and nothing’s happening?!?

Gouramis have bubble nests so the male and female need to be together.

Just wqit till the male makes the bubble nest and them the female will put her eggs in it.

Gouramis don't get pregnant like livebearers but females do develop eggs in their ovaries. When gouramis mate, they curl their bodies round each other, the female releases the eggs and the male fertilises them. Then they catch the falling eggs and spit them into the bubble nest where the male cares for them, then the fry until they become free swimming.

You have two different colour morphs of three spot gourami, so at least they are the same species. But it is hard to tell from the photos what gender the two fish are.

here’s a better picture of it

All of the blue ones fins have been nibbled on now, I’ve had these two in the tank for two days now and to me it looks like the blues sick and the golds thriving

I think the gold one is male and the blue one female.

This is one of the more aggressive gourami species. If you do have a male and female, the male is quite likely to attack the female if he wants to breed but she doesn't. But if it's 2 males, one will try to kill the other as they are very territorial fish.
I would keep them separated, and treat the blue one. Some salt in the water may be enough but if it's really bad you may need stronger treatment. I am loath to advise medication as I don't know what is available in Australia.

the yellow one is male.
the blue one is female.

you need more plants in the tank, including floating plants like water sprite.
you need a picture on the back of the tank.
