ok,
that was the worst trip ever!
i went to petcetera and what do i see?
the supposedly non-existant fish!
so i asked her what they were called (as there were no labels)
and the girl was like "i have no idea"
so i caved and i was like, "well i'll take them anyways"
and she was like "i can't sell them because i don't know the name so i don't know the price!"
and i was like, "you have a book of names and pictures"
and she was like "i don't have access to it"
and i was like "ITS RIGHT THERE IN THE DRAWER WITH THE FISH NETS!"
and she was like "you can come back tomorrow and the fish lady can sell them to you, she'll know what they are"
so i was like "ok, well can i put them on hold then" and she was like
"not unless you pay for them"
and i was like "HOW CAN I PAY FOR THEM WHEN YOU DON"T KNOW THE FRIGGIN" PRICE"
and she's like "you'll just have to keep your fingers crossed"
and i had to leave, before i punched her right in her pointy rat face
if i come back tomorrow and she sold those fish i am so going after her with a flame thrower!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I get the same incompetence from Pets at Home (Petsmart), trouble is i dont know anything about fish, so its only when i get back to this forum, well uninformed that i find out they have just spun me a yarn .

I really feel for you, and your fish, and i hope that you get them,

The trouble is, Petstores are getting more and more like Mcdonalds, they take on inexperienced "cheap" staff (sorry if this offends) who are given no training about any of the products/pets/fish etc they sell, leaving their customers as frustrated as you.

I suggest you keep a hold of that Receipt, so you can take that Flamethrower back after its use,

that stupid woman sold them!

and then you know what happened?
rescently i gave my best friend my baby kuhli's
since they were almost eaten by a bigger (but not aggressive) fish
they were only about 7/8"
then i got her to find me full grown 3" khuli's
so she bought them and now she won't give them to me because she got "attached"
grrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!
its usually at least a 3 month wait to get khulis because they are special ordered
since they don't carry them anywhere around us (especially me)
i wanna cry!
NOTHING IS WORKING OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
oh yeah and i didn't buy the danios cause they were VERY beat up and sickly

EDIT: BTW when i asked the name of the fish she said they got them by accident and someone sold them as cherry barbs even know they weren't
i need a screaming, nervous breakdown smilie!

OMG! and you didn't go straight to the manager, don't listen to a word they say, they ALWAYS can get a hold of a manager, they call him if they have too! I would go back and beat her with a big stick (flamethrowers are expensive) oooh I am sooo mad with you! You don't have any other lfs's near? Become an online buyer

in the mean time i will phone anonymously and tell the manager what i think of his employees!
just the other day some lady sold me a retractable dog leash and she was telling me how it was 5mm long!
i was like "5mm? thats not very long"
and she was like, oh 5mm is plenty of leash for your dog!"
the package said 5 meters
what a moron!
