Need To Get A New Filter

OK, so the filter I have is ten years old, and it's suddenly decided to leak on me. My problem... I can't get replacements for it as it's not stocked any more.
SO I'm having to get a completly new filter system. So that means starting up the cycling system again... BUT I have a fully stocked aquarium. What do I do???

Transfer all the media from your old filter to the new one; or at least the sponge.

+1, if you transfer the media into the new filter it will be instantly capable of processing ammonia
