I just tore down my african tank of several years and set it up for fresh water/plants.

This tank is small about 25 gallon.
I am considering a small school of tetras (eventually 5-7) possilby lemon or cardinal.
A trio of another larger fish Either Pearl Goramis, Blue or Gold Rams, Albino Kribensis or some thing similar.
Small school of small Cories.

Recommendations wanted and which to start off with. I believe Kribs are pretty tough and could probably handle the cycle.

Your thoughts please.

Not sure about the kribs but definitely dont start with the cardinals they like a very mature tank (stable) and dont like alot of water chemistry changes. The gouramis can handle just about anything so they would be fine to start with and with the fish you would like to add the pearls have a great community temperament. Also add you r plants before you start the cycling. It will add beneficial bacteria and it doesntharm most plants unless the ammonia goes off the scale. HTH :)

It seems like a great selection just be carefull with those kribs if you get a female and male. They get pretty teritorial when thyre breedin! Also, have you thought about dwarf gouramis?(honey's neon blue)
