Need some info....

Hey Everyone!!! I've owned bettas for a few years now (absolutely love them ) but have only owned the 'pet store' veil tails... I've been lucky enough to find a crowntail in a pet store before, and I'd love to acquire a few more... The problem is, I have no idea how to get one... I'd love some recommendations on betta breeders that'll ship (I'm in Ca) and that I can get very pretty fish from (even pictures)... Has anyone ever done this before? If so could you give me some suggestions/advice/info??? Thanks In Advance

i would think it would be pretty easy to find some specialty bettas in california. infact, i did a quick google search and came up with "california betta society". they are in northern ca from a quick glance, i'm sure you could get some contacts there perhaps?

Yes, if you check with your local Betta Assoc and post at their forums (for Northern California there is a yahoo group, not sure about LABS, the LA chapter). I'm in the SF Bay Area and I did this and quickly found 2 very local breeders, one of which I got my Betta pair from and the other who gave me my MW and VE cultures for my future fry.
