Ok cool. Thanks for the help. I'll update this thread with my readings every few days or so, as I am busy.

Update on readings (two/three days ago):

Ammonia - 3.0 still
Nitrite - Went up a bit to 0.3
pH - 6.2

I also have another question - I'm noticing this white colored stuff (maybe bacteria), on my filter sponge. Is this the beneficial bacteria? Or si the beneficial bacteria not even noticeable?

Couldn't tell you to be honest, did you get the bio spira.

No, I'm thinking of getting it, but if the white stuff I see is the bactertia, then there's no reason too. If not, then I may get it because it's under 10 bucks for the amount needed for my tank.

OK, so I went to my LFS today, and they said my water is perfect, ecept the pH is a little low, and because of that, there is a little bit of ammonia. He told me to do 3, 10% water changes, throughtout the week, then next weekend it should be good. Do you guys agree with this, and do you have any suggestions on fish to get? Thanks for the help.

OK, so one week has passed an my pH went lower than 6.2, so now it's at like 5. Good news though. I bought the bio spira today and added it. I also put this rock in my tank that brings the pH up. So my tank should be ready by next week for new fish.

Ok, here's my next question. Do you think my tank would be okay with 2 corys, 4 red eye teras, and 3 guppys? Or is that too much?

EDIT - Oh, and it's a ten gallon tank.

One more question, lol. Do you think by next week, I could be read to have live plants too?
