Need Idea For A New Addition To My Cleaning Crew.

right now my tank is 10gal. stock is cleaning crew(which currently is 3 astrea snails, 3 nassarious snails, and 3 hermits), 1 zoo colony, 1 hawaiian feather duster(along with several small ones that were hitchhikers), and 2 true percula clowns(one is new and is quarantine for a while just to be on the safe side). in the future all i want to add is lots more corals(which will be once i finally upgrade my lighting) and maybe 1 or 2 more hawaiian feather dusters. i want to add to my cleaning crew. i want something that is really good at eating algea off of class(the amount i have is taken care of with weekly algea scraping but i would like something to eat it) and i would like some type shrimp or crab. i once had an arrow/spider crab and 2 skunk cleaner shrimp(all at different times) and they had died on mysterious reasons. i loved them but werry of getting them again. any suggestion on what would work in my tank.

You could add a turbo or trochus.

You could add an emerald crab.

The best would be to add a skunk cleaner. SH

thanks. will i be able to have 1 turbo snail, 1 emerald mithrax crab, and 1 blood red fire shrimp(instead of the skunk cleaner) in addition to what i already have.

from what I have read blood shrimp only come out if you have multiple.

Yea go with the skunk cleaner shrimp. I think he will do fine if your aquarium is pretty stable. I had a peppermint shrimp that hide all the time, and then died. I wouldn't go with the blood shrimp unless you bought a couple of them.

i guess ill just stick with the skunk cleaner then. i do like em its just that iv had two already and both droped dead over night and nothing seemed to be wrong. i still need to know if ill be able to have 1 turbo snails, 1 emerald crab, and 1 skunk cleaner shrimp in addition to what i have already without being overstocked.

Personally I wouldnt go with the crab. The skunk Cleaner would be a great addition though.

In my 15G i have..

4 x Hermit Crabs
3 x Turbo Snails
4 x Sand Sifting Snails (1 Nassarius, 3 Cerith)
1 x Cleaner Shrimp
4 x Sexy Shrimp (Thor Amboinensis)

I have an emerald crab and I love him. You don't get to see him much, but sometimes if you look at your aquarium at night. He might be eating algae off of your rocks or corals! They are really cool and don't bother any of my things in my aquarium. Get one! -CF

I had mithrax crabs and enjoyed them. Just be aware that as they get larger they CAN become opportunistic eaters. SH
