Need Help!

hey, my friend told me about this fish she saw. this is how she discribed it:

<saltwater
< looked like a sqare brick
> was purple, brown, and white
> little front fins
> had stripes
>no spikes like a puffer

I only know of freshwater fish so I could use some help.

Was it a brick with corraline algae growing on it? Lol

i would guess at a boxfish of some variation i have seen a purpley coloured one but it will be hard to get without pics!

well, no, not a brick, but I think she said it was shaped more like a puffer.

Does anyone know?

im still going to guess a type of boxfish or puffer, not all puffers have spines, are the body sshapes like any of these :
