Need Help With Water

it's probably waste buildup from the plecs. that's a mighty small tank and not much of a filter for all those plecos.

i'd switch from the king's british pellets to the Hikari brand. unless you know for a fact that you have carnivorous plecos, then i'd just go with the Spirulina tabs (they've got a meat filler in them).

also, try adding some fresh carbon. that's supposed to help remove DOCs (dissolved organic compounds).

there is carbon in the filter and on the gravel allso its not a small tank the plecs are
black are are the ones most people buy in fish shops

well try some fresh (i.e. brand new) carbon anyways. carbon isn't infinitely good, you know. it stops being reactive after a while.

why is there carbon on the gravel?

Plain paper towel will absorb it. You can also put cotton balls in your net and skim it.
To help keep it from coming back you can use micron filter pads or polishing pads in your filter.
It may be oils from the foods you feed them or from your skin if you have had your hands in it lately. Did you have any lotion or anything on? That will do it too.

edit : also airborn airfresheners will do it. You can spray in another room and somehow it gets in the tank. Even the plug in type can cause problems.
