Need Help With Stocking A 29gal

8 danios, 6 corys and 6 cardinals? Sounds good. You could fit a dwarf gourami in there, just be sure to do more frequent water changes because it's quite a bioload in there with him. :)

yeah, i'd stick just with thay and not get the DG, better to be understocked IMO.

also read NMonks pinned topic on DG's in the gourami forum.

ok, so no dg's.....is their anything else that would go good in my tank....oh yea, I am back to using the 29gal tank now instead of the 20gal

Ok, here goes...been looking up some fish and getting an idea of what I like. So here's the plan, what ya think?

tank = 29 gal

definately will have 8 zebra danios and 6 corys (small sized ones)

planning on adding a shoal/school (6) of one of the following:
cardinal tetra
rummynose tetra
penguin tetra
cherry barb

then maybe adding 1 or 2 of the following:
german blue ram
german gold ram
bolivian ram
clown killifish
golden lyretail panchax killifish
patrizi killifish

that's what im thinking of doing....any comments/suggestions.....are any of the ones i listed hard to find fish or expensive fish?

I don't think killifish are very cheap... atleast, not where I live. I've been to about a dozen LFS and have only come across one that had them, and they were over $10. Not sure about where you live, though.

Edit: I just noticed you live in PA! The Aquarium Center in Randallstown, MD had killifish last time I went. You may want to call to make sure they still do. Their website is here. Like I said, I don't think they were very cheap. But if you only want to buy one, $10 isn't all that bad. :) Just call them to get info on their prices.

sounds like a nice place but is 2 1/2 hrs from me...darn it. i am going to check the one little mom and pop lfs near me to see if they have any killifish and the prices...if anyone will have them around here it will be them. thanks for letting me know they may cost a good bit.
