Nope. he is on the bottom for long periods, but not on one side

I don't like it when they rest for long periods on the bottom it can be a sign there something wrong.
Is he also acting listless and lethargic?

yeah very very lethargic. Barely moves higher than 1/4 of the way up.

I think I would treat the tank with anti internal bacteria medication by interpet.
You can double dose in severe cases. It would be better if you could isolate. 
If you can't just add the medication to main tank. It does not interfere with your good bacteria in your filter.

I added that exact treatment today. Hopefully it works. I will keep you updated.... And is the treatment ok with plecos?

So WILDER, I added the treatment, does not seem to be doing anything to help him at all. He is off the bottom, but he spends most of the day inside the pleco's cave with his head peeping out lol. I have seen him come out and have a swim, maybe have a little swim the danios, then he would realise it was too much effort and he would go and hang above the driftwood and nibble at stuff there. He spends a lot of time nibbling and picking at stuff. what can that indicate or is that normal behaviour?

Did you double dose?
Once bacteria infections advance there hard to cure in the UK as are medications are only affective on mild bacteria infections.

Nah single dosed. I was going to but something told me i shouldnt

A member contacted Interpet years ago and was told he could double dose in severe cases.
I done it and had no problems. So I wouldn't advise it if I wasn't sure.
 
If you do decide to do another round after you have followed medication instructions it is your choice.

Well i added the 2nd dose today. The water change was due today. So i changed the water and out the treatment in. I double dosed this time
