Need Help With Common Pleco

hi ive had a common pleco in my 29 gallon tank for 2 or 3 weeks now hes always stuck in the same spot majority of the time once in a great while he will move to another part of the tank i drop algae wafer in at night but not sure if he eats it or my corys do i have 4 of them ive been reading all over that its a must that i feed him fresh vegetables or he wont be healthy is this true or r the algae wafers enough?? i just wanna make sure the little guy grows up big and healthy thanks to all who help with advice
 
Veg are not ESSENTIAL but certainly what I would consider good husbandry.

It will soon outgrow a 29g you are aware of that yes?
 
yeah when he starts getting big im either gonna get a bigger tank or find him a new home ill decide when the time comes but plecos are really cool and i wanted to raise one from when it was little
i think im gonna start offering him lettuce and cucumber and c how he takes to it
 
Cucumber is useless, used Courgette (Zuchini) instead.

You have less time than you think to decide what to do with it, it should grow around an inch a month ideally when small.

Your tank is probably 30x12x18?.
