Hi there, was wondering if anybody could help me identify the type of school fish I have. I’ve never seen them before, a friend gave them to me and she didn’t know the name either. They have a little green vibrant spot under their eyes, and black tipped fins. Ignore the cardinal in the back haha. Anyways, been having them for a few days now, just tryna figure it out.
Thanks

Species is Brevibora dorsiocellata, common name is often Eyespot Rasbora. I had a group for many years. They tend to swim upper-mid tank, in the same area as the Trigonostigma hengeli and T. espei rasboras, and the two species together (one of the Trigonostigma with the Brevibora) are quite nice in that area of the aquarium. Floating plants will be appreciated, and they will sparkle (the blue eye) even more. I think I can see six in the photo; a few more would be appreciated by these, if you ever see them in a store.
