I need to save two oscars that are stuck in a 5 gallon tank! the fish cannot move! the person who owns them doesnt want them so he will let me have them. I only have a twenty gallon tank. i need a heater and a filter and whatever else i can have for them to be happy. I am only 15 and have no job. I know i will have to upgrade the tank but it would be fine for a while. Plz anyone who can help me help these oscars plz help. email me at [email protected] or leave your yahoo im or aim im info
thnks :/

Your 20 gallon would definately be a major improvement over 5 gallons, but in the long run they're going to need even more room.

Just a thought, but if it were me, I'd get them from your friend and give them to a LFS that can house them adequately till they find new homes.

where are you/the oscars located? we have a lot of friendly members; maybe someone in your area could take in the fish for you.

I think I'd phone around LFS's and see if any will take them, or put an ad in the paper saying something like 'rescue oscar' to tug at aquarist's heartstrings. I'm sure a home can be found, but if the 5g doesn't have a filter or heater either you'd probably be OK. Especially if you keep the room warm.

if you let me no were you are and if your close i have a small heater from a record 60. It needs some kind of case around it but if your in england your welcome to it i love oscars but cant have one at the moment because of other fish in my tank.
