Need Help Please

I bought a Juwel Trigon 350 used, as I have posted on the board before. It has two light fixtures, the larger of which (100CM) had broken, which is why I got such a good deal on it. The smaller fixture still incorporates T8 technology. When I ordered the replacement (larger fixture), I went with the T5 highlight upgrade. The smaller bulbs (T8) are available in america, so I have been able to replace them. Ordering the other fixture from Europe was very expensive. I don't want to have to replace the 100CM T5s (45 watts) from Europe each time, but all I see is T5 bulbs over here at 36 inches and 39 watts. Please help! 100 cm equals 39 inches or so. I only see 36 inch bulbs available, which would be 96 CM at the most. What can I do in the US?

I don't have much light technology experience and being from the UK don't know about aquarium eqipment in the USA.
Could you swap to overhead lighting for the larger one? I got the whole package from ebay about a year ago. Paid around £50 whereas new in UK is £200 +
