Need help, please. Would this work for refilling my tanks?

First off, I'm going to buy the Python siphon kit and siphon the water right out the window onto my plant beds. (My current siphon is too short.)

Now, to get clean water back into the tanks... I could use the outdoor faucet very near that window. I'm thinking of letting the water run into a large pail in which I've set a pump to get water back up into the aquarium.

I have no idea what I need to do this. I know the pump will have to have a good lift - about six feet, so I'm going to look for a pump with a ten foot lift. How do I attach the pump to the Python? Or do I use the Python?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

You should be able to attach the python directly to facet. You may not have an adapter, but I’m pretty sure they make one.
