I don't know what this fish is

we was told it's a firemouth. but it don't have red on the throat.

It looks somewhat like a Green Terror but the picture is kind of blurry and I'm not so good on naming Cichlids.

Notice the turqoise coloration around his throat. He's a REAL piss head bully.

I'll eat my foot if it's a Green Terror. He was feeling photogenic today.

Possibly a JD. But the coloration around the throat is not spotted. It's solid.

What color is your JD's throat. Mine has a extremely bright band of turqoise there. None of the pics of JDs have anything like that, even in a different color. Can you cross breed firemouths and JDs?

bet you can, but its not a halfbreed. i also THINK its a female off the bat. pretty sure

Definitely a male JD. young, only about 3".

green terrors have orange on the edge of the dorsal and tail fin, and a differently shaped body,...that looks just like a jack dempsy I used to own.
