Need Help Identifying Possible Illness

2 or my African Cichlids have some black splotches on them. The best way I can describe is as a black ink stain. One has the spots on his rear fin and body and the other has the spot on the middle of his body. They both are eating well and are very active. I couldnt identify this anywhere online. Any ideas? Thanks in advance

Could be from ammonia burns. Check your ammonia levels first. I don't know if AC's do the same as goldfish, but I had this happen when I had them. The black is sort of like recovering from the burn.
