Need Help Identifying Fish

I just bought a new pair of cichlids the other day and i cannot remember the name of them for the life of me. This is the male of the two. Any help would be great if other pics are needed let me know.

from it's face, I would say it looks like a breed of geo. What breed you say?? I have no clue...but I would google geophagus and you might get a pic that looks like it....a good place to start anyway

Hi there,

It's a central american cichlid Hypsophrys nicaraguensis, can get fairly large (10") but in the right setting is reasonably peaceful (for a central american cichlid anyway!!).

Thanks alot guys i love this pair they are so beautiful. I think they might be thinking about spawning the male and female are as we speak making a cave together. If you guys would like more pics let me know
