Hi my Kisame is still very active he likes to make bubbles nest and pouf his gills. But couple of weeks ago his stomach got pretty huge. He still loves to eat. But I also notice that his poop is different there always something white under him but his poop his usually pink. If you look at the pic you will see what I’m talking about. What do you think it is and what should I do. I tried giving a salt bath for 15 min and starve him for one day but nothing.

:eek:mg: how long has he been like that!
how much are you feeding him and is his scales looking like there peeling?

couple of weeks now i tried cuttin his food i feed him bettamin tropical medley and no his scales doesnt look like pine cone. i dont want him to die, i tried stuff but my self but now it going out of control. i really need some help.

It might be constipated or could be dropsy. Give it a shelled cooked pea to start with. If it is dropsy I have a reasonable amount of luck dipping it with epson salt and water. Don't use regular aquarium salt!! Use about a good rounded teaspoon in some of the tank water and dissolve well. Put the fish in for several minutes. This will help with constipation as well. If it is dropsy I repeat this every other day. It is sort of a type of fish dialysis. On another form someone actually uses a syringe to drain off fluid but I won't attempt that.

yeah i did try the cooked pea a week ago and the epson salt bath. maybe i didnt put enough in there. how much should i put for 3 Liters of water

What I do for the epson salt is dissolve a rounded teaspoon in about 1/2 cup water, I always catch my betta in a cup since I find it easier then dump the water and him in the water and let him sit for several minutes drain off most of the water then put him back in the tank. If it is dropsy all the epson salt does is reduce the fluid build up. If it is dropsy the fluid will come back so it has to be repeated every other day usually.
