Ammonia; 0
PH; 7.4
Nitrites; 0
Nitrates; low, did a water change yesterday.

Betta showing signs of finrot, so treated today with interpet anti fungus and finrot treatment. Did all that correctly as instruted.

Moved the filter, then the fliter blew out a load of white...stuff? into the tank.

I dont know whats happening but my fish are all very ill looking now.

Half of them are upside down and the others are floating around.

None have died yet.

The tank is afew months old, fully cycled and contains;

1 apple snail.
1 bull pleco
2 platties
2 guppies,
1 betta.
1 angelfish
9 tetras
2 mollies

I dont understand what happened, it was like 1 second they were fine, i turn around and now their all at deaths door!

I thought api melafix would have been a better choice of stuff to use. Why not open your filter and have a look inside? :S

i would do a massive water change ASAP see how they are after, how big is your tank?

What size is your tank?
How often do you do water changes?
Have any other fish been ill or died recently?
How did you cycle your tank?

I did, thee was nothing wrong with it. Nothing obvious inside it, nothing worth mentioning at all.

I did that, and the tank seems to have calmed down. All the fish apart from one guppy is more or less okay. This one guppy has had some issues recently anyway.

120ltr.

Once or twice every 2 weeks.

One guppy had a problem as i said before, we thought swimbladder. Shes just recovering from it now.

We used the "starter fish" method in the end.

can you explain what the starter fish method entails, or do you mean a fish in cycle, often fish in cycles shorten the lives or do some sort of damage to the fish which often rears its head later on by making seemingly ok fish poorly

I interpreted what the OP said as being a fish-in cycle.
