I'm really hoping to get some help with this as I have joined another snail forum but have gotten no help. The other day I woke up and found a small pink "blob" it my snail's tank. At first I though somehow she had crawled out of her shell but then I realized they were eggs. I've had my snail since August of 2010 and she has not been in contact with a male snail since then, so how did she lay eggs? I don't have enough room for hundreds of baby snails but just throwing them out seems cruel. How do I know if they are fertile? If they are, would it be possible to just hatch some but not all? Lastly, if I have to end up getting rid of them, what do I do with them? Thanks in advance for any help.

What type of snail is it? can't help without knowing what it is, if you don't know then post a pic up.

Some snail species can be haemophradites or carry live sperm for an excessively long amount of time until the environment is ideal for them. Babies are a good sign btw.
