Hi, my new koi that is 4" insize I found tonight at the bottom of the bin (they are housed inside due to a racoon problem) was lying on its side under a rock. I don't know if they rock fell on it or it swam under it. When I lifte the rock up it seems there was room under it for the fish.

Now it is on its side but still breathing. Is there anything I can do to save my fish?

It seems the slime coat is coming off a bit as I see a bit of stringy stuff hanging from its tail when I moved it in the water.

All help greatly appreciated.....bugsy :byebye:

Hi,just wanting to say I lost my little koi. Did not look good this morning and maybe a bit weaker than it looked to me when I bought it. It looked very good and healthy.

Thanks all :(

im not sure what you mean by bin ?

how long have you had the fish ?

i found with my new fish when added to a new pond ,dive straight for the nearest cover namely rocks its amazing the size of space they can squeeze into ,that also being the problem, sometimes they get in but cant get out

unless your certain the rock didnt fall it could be any of a number of problems,it could be the sudden change in enviroment or water temprature if you just bought the fish, the list is endless

Sounds like the little koi kids in the indoor tank. They all congregate around the one rock cave. I think their favorite game is hide and seek. They come to the end of the tank to watch the goings on of our family, but the moment they see they're noticed they swim immediately back to cover
