Hay there all.

I am in need of a few fresh thoughts please.

I have just started my 4,1/2 -2-2 Tank with sump about a week ago, I added a tetra Substrate and Sand over it.

What I would like to here is any thoughts on if this is any good for Plants ?

As I am hering all sorts, an to be fair I ant got a clue NOW

So is Sand any good for plants ?

Thanks Guys. :good:

sand is great for plants.. gives them a great root base and allows them to trap all the good stuff that they need...

Plants... well you are doing everything right at the moment, but i would be looking at more common and hardy types of plants to get the eco system up and running...

Hygrophila is great for this as it is hardy, looks good, and is one of the very few plants that was not shoved into the water and told that it is now an aquatic plant...

Green Pennywort is also a good start... but dude, it is really up to you... its your tank, not mine.. :)
