Two of my fish are aflicted with, I assume, a bacteria which is begining to cause the upper part of their back tails to stick together. Neither one can fully flair, though they are both active. My question is, is Bettafix a good remedy for this sort of problem, and does it sound bacterial to you? I immediately moved them to different bowls with declorinator, salt, and some bettafix. I looked for Bettamax, but bettafix is all the petstore had heard of and sold. I'll try a different store, if bettamax is better?

I always trust Melafix/Pimafix combo, but there are some good products out there just for bettas that work well.

Matracyn 2 and tetracycline.
