if you are going to do corals what type of lighting because corals don't need just a regular fluorescent bulb and definitly no indascent. you could figure ho to put one of these on the tank this would work perfect. look below for the link :D . your going to want the coralife 50/50 atinic for the corals and this should be great for some polyps or mushrooms.

Thank you for the info.

And hey CC, thank you :) It will not be huge, no...but I do have the bowfront freeing up soon, and that will be 27 gallons more than this :)

Actually, if anyone can tell me what the frag on the lower right is, I would be appreciative...
Hey, I didn't realize this was you I was talking to in chat the other night :p I had been following your thread here, but hadn't seen this pic.

Did you ID the algae?

Hey Parker, no I have not. I have however waded through 180 some of the the 208 species on the first link you gave me :) I will find it! ...or I will ask the guy who set me up with it :)

If all else fails, just post the pic over in the Marine section - I'm sure someone there would have a quick answer for you!

You need to be careful with the cowrie and any soft corals you put in. With the tank being so small the cowrie will not have enough algae to graze on and will probably turn to the soft corals for food. There's also the problem of the cowrie 'bulldozing' round the tank and knocking stuff over (mine does it all too frequently  )
I can only imagine the hell this little tank is going to put you through with temperature fluctuations, etc. :D but if you can hkeep on top of it the tanks going to look real nice. Good luck with it and keep us posted
