Hey all I was thinking of doing my 48L tank as a nano job I have a LFS about half a mile up the road so getting RO water is not a problem and I have plenty of time to look after it, I just wanted to find out do you need RO water or is there a way of doing it at home, I know you may need to add salt and minerals to the water is there any way of doing with tap water.

I was just going to pop a couple of clowns in the tank and maybe a cleaner shrimp, till I can afford to upgarde to a bigger tank.

I hate being the one to post but sadly clowns need a lot larger tank. A minimim tank size is 30 gallon, 25 at a bare min. 48L = 10G :(

A cleaner shrimp would go in and a very small goby. :good:

You can use tap water but you must condition it first to remove the copper and other bad minerals, etc.

O bummer, are there any other small Marine fish that would go in the tank

Neon Goby. I'm not great with Gobies but there's a few for a tank that size, anyone help out with some other names?

Most of these fish will be ok
