Nano Marine Tank

Hey Everyone!

Thought i'd post some pictures of my nano marine tank which is under construction and will one day turn into a nano-reef. If you want to Learn more about the tank and nano-reefs check out the nano-reef forum or click on my siggy link

I'll Just post some Pics of what's happening so far and i'll update this thread everytime something new happens

What seemed like 10 years......Waiting for things to arrive. Stuffed under the Bed......

Testing out the Lights

Tank is filled and live rock is added. First Attemp at Aquascaping.....

Second Attempt at Aquascaping.....

Take 3....

Clean up crew was added. heres a turbo snail

Tank Settles and a Cleaner Shrimp and clownfish are added

As i said as things happen i'll post the pics. Things are being left to settle again for a couple of weeks for now. Apologize for the quality of pics, Learnt a few things about my camera and photobucket tonight so from now on the picture quality shoulf improve.

Cheers The light is a Arcada 96w overtank luminaire. The pictures dont do it justice, it gives out some great light

Yea just the one. Was thinking about getting a Black and white one today but i got this guy instead.

These pictures dont do him justice either. Hes really bright and has perfecto fins, i will master this camera one day......Maybe i need a new one Macros won't turn on. I've only got one good picture in this whole photo diary

The dirty substrate is my diatoms which are being fought back by my clean-up crew. Hopefully it will be nice and clean again soon

Hey Sf05, your nano is looking brill . We are looking at setting up a similar 50gal cube. What filtration and pumps are you using on yours? And what is going to be your water change routine?

A 50gal cube would be cool, you'll have lots of options with fish in that. One day i'll move up to a large reef so i can keep a powder blue tang
My filtration is provided from my Live Rock which is just over 1.1lbs per gallon. A maxijet 1200 gives me all the circulation i need. I've added a interpet 400 to give me more surface agitation to get rid of surface scum. I do a 10% waterchange every wednesday and top off with about 1glass of fresh RO water every 2 days.

*touchwood* Things are starting to get easier now i'm getting to know my tank. My Cory fry are harder to look after than the tank ATM.
