I have two females with no names! :/

I name everything! So I feel terrible since I've had one for a month and the other for over 2! I've been calling one Natalie's fish (it was hers, now it's mine.) And the little rescue girl.....not appropriate names by far! :p

Here are some pics!

Natalie's Fish--has the longest tail on a female I've ever seen!

Rescue Fish--btw, her fins have improved 3 fold from when I rescued her!

I am so out of names. I like unique names (not like Fishy or Goldie). My other bettas' names are Ula meaning jewel of the sea and Kai meaning sea in Hawaiian.

Help!
Btw, I posted when I first got the rescue girl for names, but I didn't write any down :( So suggestions again? PLease?

I can't believe I didn't see this post before!!! It's hard to keep up with the forum sometimes.

I absolutely love thinking up names for fish. I'll play. Let me toss a few out there for you to chew on.
I often like to give my fish a first and last name so feel free to combine away.

Ok, for the first girl (who's beautiful by the way).........
Sometimes the colors are off on my computer...is she a very deep blue? Maybe bluish green? One of the first names that came to mind was Sapphire. How about Indigo? For example how about.....Sapphyre Jones  Sounds like a female character in a spy novel or something. Ohhhh, she does have a mysterious look about her. She could be Bond...Jane Bond. Or how about......Indigo Bond.

She is also very glamorous maybe it's the mask marking, reminds me of makeup. How about a name referring to makeup like Maybelline, Estee, Lancome. Maybe one of those with a last name of some sort?
Or just something that suggests glamour like......Diva. Or Couture. Or one of the names of a supermodel like Vendella, Estelle, Tyra.....whatever supermodel that comes to mind.

Maybe refer to her heart shaped tail? Like Corazon...nickname Cora.

Now for your second girl.......
How about Persephone? Good name to remind you of how near death she could have been..
In Greek mythology, Persephone was the one kidnapped by Hades and taken to the underworld to be his queen. Due to the persuasions of her mother (Demeter - an earth goddess, maybe demi-goddess not sure) Persephone was allowed to return to the living world for half the year and reign as Queen of the Underworld for the other half. And that is why Demeter blesses the earth with grains and healthy harvest for half the year and the earth withers as she pines for her daughter the other half. (I tried to make it short!!!! Sorry, I tend to ramble). There are tons of cool names in Greek mythology. I often look there when naming my pets.

In reference to her color you could call her Opal or Pearl. In fact, Pearl is the name of the goofy whale daughter of Mister Crabs in SpongeBob. Kind of ironic to name a tiny betta after a huge whale.
Shimmer would be a pretty name.
She kind of has a faery quality about her (I think bettas have that magical faery look about them when they're light colored like this). How about Titania? Queen of the Faeries in "Midsummer Night's Dream". OH! How about Tinkerbell....Tink for short. I like that one...lol. I may have to get another girl just so I can name her Tink.

You could name either of the girls Umi. That's Japanese for ocean. How about Umiko. Little Girl of the Sea. Or Hana. It means flower. I always think bettas look like water flowers don't you? Or for that matter on the topic of flowers....Lily, Petunia, Daisy, etc..

I could keep going and going and going and going..........
Hope one of these ramblings helped spark something. Have fun naming your fish!
