Any time I would get a fish I would always call it Mr. Fishy. Until I got really attached to a betta I had (which I called Mr. Fishy) and he died while I was away on vacation. Since then, I've always had to come up with a different name for my different fish. It just didn't seem right using that name anymore.

RIP Mr. Fishy!

I don't really name most of my fish, mostly because it is hard to tell them apart. However, I have named three of them:

Kissing Gourami - Angel
A Betta - Bobbert
Another Betta - Prometheus

I know, I know, I'm so imaginative. I don't know where I come up with such splendid names.

Pacus: Mr and Mrs Pacman
Oscars: The big one is Taco, the little one is Fajita.
Plecos: Batman and Robin
My entire school of black phantom tetras is called G-Unit
My biggest convict cichlid is named Akon.

Just a quick edit. Zorro needs a new name as "he" has just laid eggs With Bender, the baby gold marble "he" paired off with (in the last couple of days lol) who I forgot to list.

I dont name most of my fish either for the same reason as Annastasia, but there are a couple of special ones

Channa Gachua snakehead- Wilfred

Male BN plec (wilfreds house mate)- Basil

Wilfred could be a girl but i dont think its possible to tell unless they breed.

of 32 fish i have only 1 has a name......It is a sowrdtail that was born and stayed 100% orange,out of the 100's of fry i've had,so we kept him and named him "Orange" ofcorse.

I have a few names for some of the fish I have.

I have the first ever fry we had she is a mollie called "baby".
We also have a rainbow cichlid called "survivor" jayjay (a member here) gave me 10 rainbow fry and he was the only one clever enough to stay in the breeding box!! so hence "survivor"
I also have 1 bn plec called originaly "Pleco"
The best name is probable a clown plec called "Crusty"

Bob, I like, as it is random
Mr and Mrs Pacman - obvoiusly, nice name
Oscars = very imaginative
Plecs - unsure there.
Tetra's that's very funny, could be P-unit.
Concict - don't really get that, could call him Bronson. lol.

overall - really cool names.

Well, I have:

My CT/VTs bettas, Hector (cause he's hectic to take care of), and Freddy (cause of ready freddy, and he's red. thank my bf for that)

My VT betta, Gill (well, we weren't feeling very witty that morning)

My CT betta, Johnny (my mom thought he looked like the albino musician Johnny Winter, but that was before he colored up again after being so stressed at petsmart, he's a very pretty turqoise and magenta butterfly now, hehe)

I have my gold gourami who I call little girl, my two neon blue dwarf gouramis that have varying names depending on whether they're annoying me when I'm planting things in there and trying to bite me, or being sweet and eating from my fingers.

Then my marble angelfish, her name is Angel, hahaha. Not very unique either I know.

And my pleco, whose name is Plecky, courtesy of a long day and no wit yet again.

I don't really name my fish. Apart from anything else some of them look more or less the same so i wouldn't be able to tell them apart.
