Hi guys I was after some kind of Pim. I came across one in my LFS today and bought it. Well h said it was definately a Pim but didnt know what kind it was but when I found out if I couldnt keep it he would take it back. Anyway I got it home and after some asking around and a lot of looking at pics it turns out it's a Mystus pulcher. It is about 5-6" so wont b growin much bigger but I have bought this for my oddball tank to go in with Bichirs an maybe a lima shovelnose. Is this gonna be ok or will it end up a snack? Wasn't sure to post catfish or the oddballs so posted both. Thx in advance

I had a Mystus with a senegal bichir and all was fine. What type of bichir was it?

should be ok.. what size tank isit in? i dnt se ny bichir in your sig. (btw im not saying you dont have one)

Sorry I suppose you could read that wrong. My sig needs updating as my 90gal now holds 2 Peacock Eels, a Tiger Botia and this pulcha. The Bichirs havent been purchased yet but are going to be. I have few posts in the oddball section to try and find some. I meant in this post that it is going in with them when I get them, sorry for the confusion.

I am getting a Senegal, and hopefully a Marbled with an armoured also a possibility.

IMO a 90g tank will not be big enough to house a lima shovelnose, although a birchir should be fine. Also,a 6" fish is likely to end up as dinner for a large lima shovelnose!!(I speak from experience.....RIP poor silver sharks)
